An industrial arc furnace is an energy conversion device. The energy it receives comes from multiple sources, including the chemical energy of fuel, electrical energy, and the heat of high-temperature flue gas. After conversion, the furnace outputs energy in the form of steam, high-temperature water, or organic heat-transfer media. By definition, a “boiler” refers to a vessel that heats water over fire, and the “furnace” is where fuel is burned. An industrial arc furnace contains both.
The industrial electrical equipment sector is an important branch of China’s machinery industry. However, because the development level of transmission machinery design and manufacturing in China is relatively low, core technical personnel for industrial arc furnace equipment are still largely in the hands of foreign companies. As foreign enterprises accelerate their entry into the Chinese market, new technologies and new concepts continue to influence China’s industrial arc furnace sector. Simply imitating advanced foreign equipment manufacturing technology is not enough to reach the management and manufacturing standards of overseas companies.
