Precautions for Using a Laboratory Electric Furnace:
- Always turn off the dedicated power switch after each use.
- Keep the inside and outside of the furnace clean.
- Do not open the furnace door when the internal temperature is at its maximum to avoid burns.
- After operation, wait for the temperature to drop before removing samples. If samples must be taken out while hot, wear heat-resistant gloves and use crucible tongs.
- Samples that can be cooled to room temperature should be allowed to cool naturally.
- To observe the furnace temperature, the furnace can be powered on and set to room temperature; this allows the chamber temperature to display without heating.
