To ensure better operation and performance of a vacuum consumable electrode arc furnace, the following describes the power supply requirements. We hope this information is helpful.
- The power supply must provide high-precision and highly stable controllable constant-current output, suitable for a load with a wide range of impedance characteristics. In other words, the power source for a consumable electrode furnace must function as an adjustable constant-current power supply.
- Even during frequent and short-duration short circuits, the power source must be able to keep the controlled output current essentially constant.
- It should have the ability to re-ignite the arc.
- The output voltage should maintain a reasonably low ripple level.
