Precautions for operating a tempering furnace:

  1. Before loading parts into the furnace, power on the distribution box, move the trolley out, and check whether the instruments and meters are functioning normally (including the set temperature). Ensure the fan motor, heating elements, and other components are in good condition.
  2. When loading parts, they must be placed neatly and not tilted. The height should be controlled so that after entering the furnace, the workpieces do not touch internal power components and a 100 mm clearance is maintained.
  3. When moving the trolley into the furnace, operate slowly. Observe whether the trolley moves smoothly and check if power cables are obstructed or caught during entry. After loading, close the furnace door, start the heating and fan motor, adjust the temperature, and use a thermometer to verify temperature accuracy.
  4. When tempering is complete and parts are removed, first turn off the heating switch, then turn off the fan motor. Open the door and move the trolley out.
  5. After loading or unloading, check whether the thermocouple is properly inserted inside the furnace (the thermocouple measures temperature). Be careful not to touch or damage the thermocouple—workpieces must not contact it.
  6. During operation, the on-duty operator must check the furnace instrument temperature every hour to ensure normal operation.
  7. If an electrical fault or fire occurs, turn off the main switch and extinguish the fire. If a fire starts inside the furnace, open the door, move the trolley out, and cut the power before extinguishing.
  8. If the electrical system malfunctions, repairs must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Non-electrical personnel are strictly prohibited from attempting repairs.
